- Slice onions thick (about 1/2 inch)
- Separate onion rings carefully
- Pat onions dry well
- Keep champagne cold until mixing
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, cornstarch, salt, and garlic powder.
- Slowly whisk in the cold champagne until batter becomes smooth and slightly thick.
- Preheat air fryer to 375°F.
- Lightly spray air fryer basket with cooking spray.
- Dip onion rings into batter and allow excess batter to drip off.
- Place onion rings in a single layer inside the basket.
- Lightly spray tops with cooking spray.
- Air fry for 5–6 minutes.
- Carefully flip onion rings.
- Spray lightly again.
- Cook another 4–6 minutes until golden and crispy.
- Serve immediately for best texture.
