Asian Black Pepper Beef

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb flank steak thin sliced
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1/2 onion sliced
  • 1/2 bell pepper sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp cracked black pepper
  • Optional garnish: green onion or sesame seeds

  • Wok Or large skillet
  • Measuring spoons
  • Spatula or wooden spoon

Method
 

Prep
  1. Slice beef VERY thin against the grain
  2. Slice onion and bell pepper
  3. Mince garlic
  4. Crack fresh black pepper if possible
Instructions
  1. Heat a skillet or wok until very hot.
  2. Add oil and quickly sear beef for 1–2 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.
  3. Add onion and bell pepper and cook until slightly softened.
  4. Stir in garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
  5. Return beef to the pan.
  6. Add soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, and cracked black pepper.
  7. Toss everything together for 1–2 minutes until glossy and coated.
  8. Serve hot over white rice.

Notes

  • Slice beef thinly for the most tender texture.
  • Fresh cracked black pepper gives the best flavor.
  • Great for meal prep and reheats well.
  • Add broccoli or mushrooms for extra vegetables.
