- Preheat oven to 350°F
- Lightly grease skillet or baking dish if needed
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix melted butter, brown sugar, and sugar until smooth
- Add egg and vanilla, stir until fully combined
- Mix in flour, baking soda, and salt until just incorporated (don’t overmix)
- Fold in chocolate chips evenly
- Press dough into skillet or baking dish
- Bake 18–20 minutes until edges are golden and center is slightly soft
- Let cool 5–10 minutes before serving
Notes
- Slightly underbake for a gooey center
- Use cast iron for best texture
- Sprinkle extra chocolate chips on top before baking for a better look
- Add a pinch of flaky salt on top after baking for contrast
- Goes great with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream
