Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup butter melted
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Method
 

Prep
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F
  2. Lightly grease skillet or baking dish if needed
Instructions
  1. In a bowl, mix melted butter, brown sugar, and sugar until smooth
  2. Add egg and vanilla, stir until fully combined
  3. Mix in flour, baking soda, and salt until just incorporated (don’t overmix)
  4. Fold in chocolate chips evenly
  5. Press dough into skillet or baking dish
  6. Bake 18–20 minutes until edges are golden and center is slightly soft
  7. Let cool 5–10 minutes before serving

Notes

  • Slightly underbake for a gooey center
  • Use cast iron for best texture
  • Sprinkle extra chocolate chips on top before baking for a better look
  • Add a pinch of flaky salt on top after baking for contrast
  • Goes great with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream
