- Cut lime into wedges
- Lightly rinse mint leaves (don’t bruise them yet)
Instructions
- Add lime wedges and sugar to your glass
- Use a muddler to gently press and twist until:
- - Sugar starts dissolving into lime juice
- - Mixture becomes slightly syrupy
- Add mint leaves and lightly press (don’t crush hard — releases flavor without bitterness)
- Fill the glass with ice
- Pour in white rum
- Top with club soda
- Stir gently to combine
- Garnish with extra mint and a lime wedge
- Serve immediately
Notes
- Don’t over-muddle mint — it turns bitter if crushed too hard
- Always use fresh lime juice (not bottled)
- Adjust sugar to taste depending on how sweet you like it
- Crushed ice gives a more authentic feel, but cubes work fine
- Goes great with grilled food, tacos, seafood, or light appetizers
