Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 8 oz egg noodles
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1/2 onion diced
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional garnish: parsley or green onion

Method
 

Prep
  1. Dice onion
  2. Mince garlic
  3. Measure broth and sour cream
Instructions
  1. Melt butter in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Add diced onion and cook until soft and translucent.
  3. Add ground beef and cook until fully browned, breaking it apart while cooking. Drain excess grease if needed.
  4. Stir in minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Pour in beef broth and bring to a light simmer.
  6. Add egg noodles and stir well. Cook until noodles are tender and most of the liquid is absorbed.
  7. Reduce heat to low and stir in sour cream until smooth and creamy.
  8. Simmer for 2–3 more minutes until thickened.
  9. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  10. Garnish with parsley or green onion and serve hot.

Notes

  • For extra richness, add a splash of heavy cream.
  • Mushrooms make a great addition to this recipe.
  • Use lean ground beef for less grease.
  • Best served fresh while creamy.
