- Slice steak thinly against the grain
- Mince garlic
- Cook rice if not already prepared
- Slice green onions for garnish
Instructions
- Heat a skillet over medium-high to high heat until very hot.
- Add oil and place steak in a single layer. Avoid overcrowding the pan.
- Sear steak for 2–3 minutes until browned and lightly crispy on the edges.
- Remove steak from skillet and set aside.
- Lower heat slightly and add butter, garlic, sesame oil, and honey. Stir for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add soy sauce and simmer for 1 minute.
- Return steak to the skillet and toss quickly in the sauce.
- Serve hot over rice.
- Garnish with green onions, sesame seeds, or red pepper flakes if desired.
