  • Chef's knife
  • Measuring cups
  • Salad tongs

Method

Prep

  2. Slice strawberries
  3. Thinly slice red onion
  4. Crumble feta cheese if using a block
  5. Prepare balsamic vinaigrette if homemade
Instructions
  1. Add fresh spinach to a large serving bowl.
  2. Top the spinach with sliced strawberries, red onion, feta cheese, and candied pecans if using.
  3. Drizzle balsamic vinaigrette evenly over the salad.
  4. Toss lightly until everything is coated without bruising the spinach.
  5. Finish with a light drizzle of balsamic glaze for extra flavor and presentation if desired.
  6. Add fresh cracked black pepper before serving.

Notes

  • A drizzle of balsamic glaze at the end adds incredible sweet tangy flavor
  • Candied pecans add crunch and make the salad feel more complete
  • Goat cheese can be substituted for feta if preferred
  • Serve immediately after dressing for the freshest texture
  • Fresh strawberries work best because frozen strawberries release too much moisture
