Prep:
- Mince garlic
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, and ginger
- In a separate small bowl, mix cornstarch with water (slurry)
Instructions:
- Cook ground beef in skillet over medium heat
- Break apart and cook until fully browned
- Drain excess grease
- Add sauce mixture and stir well
- Simmer 2–3 minutes
- Add cornstarch slurry and stir
- Cook until sauce thickens (1–2 minutes)
- Remove from heat and garnish
- Serve over rice
Notes
- Add red pepper flakes for heat
- Great for meal prep
- Serve with steamed broccoli for balance
- Sauce thickens more as it cools
